Katie, a freelance video editor in dire need of a job, receives a high-paying offer from an anonymous employer to edit a mysterious and bizarre video. Katie is short of money and facing layoffs, but she enthusiastically accepts the gig. The video shows people being tortured and even murdered on camera – a carefully staged fabrication, to be sure. But when that first job leads to an even more lucrative job and more disturbingly realistic snuff films, Katie’s life begins to fall apart. Strange images haunt his apartment, terrifying nightmares keep him awake, and a mysterious illness afflicts his cat. It’s only when Katie decides to quit her job for good that she learns just how cruel her anonymous employer really is and how much she’s willing to pay to get out of her contract.
