Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers a private investigator’s ad and becomes a mole in an undercover investigation at a nursing home. Based on the Chilean documentary El Agente Topo. A remake of Agent Topo (2020). I think a lot of fiction is naturally intended to make you think something like, “It was an honor to share the lives of these fictional characters.” This show certainly does that well. Even those who are less focused on the mystery should be captivated by the humanity shown not only in the writing but also in the way the actors portray it. Congratulations to all involved. While Netflix has been hard at work renewing series lately, I hope they capitalize on the potential of the show by giving it a season 2, as I can’t wait to see the journeys of these incredible characters.
